Speech Therapy

At Zearing Health Care Center our speech therapy provides services to correct or compensate any deficits in speaking, swallowing or cognition.

Speech therapy involves

• Developing an effective plan of care to reach the maximum level of function.
• Utilization of appropriate evaluation tools and completing evaluations in swallowing and cognition.
• Determining an appropriate diet for each Resident with the lowest risk of choking or aspiration pneumonia.
• Determine each Residents' level of safety at home.
